How to Install phpBB 3.0.4 on Linux XAMPP Server

This tutorial will guide you through installing phpBB 3.0.4 on your Linux Apache XAMPP 1.7 server. In this tutorial I am using Ubuntu 8.10, but other distro's of Linux should be very similar.

This tutorial will help you configure the permissions for your folders and teach you how to add the neccessary files.

You will need to download phpBB 3.0.4 if you haven't done so already. You should download the .tar.bz2 download. You can download it by Clicking Here.
